Glossary
This glossary is intended to help you understand the meaning of some of the terms used in this manual.
Abatrack II: protocol that allows communication between two devices through the physical connection between inputs and outputs.
Access: access is the action of being identified and authorized by the device to access a determined area. In this case, the user is considered to have accessed the area protected by the device, whether he has entered this area or not.
Pushbutton: a tool that allows the opening of a door without the need for identification on the device.
CSV: Comma-separated values. It is a file format in which the data represents a table, where the columns are separated by commas. This file can be viewed as a table if opened in a spreadsheet editor.
Normally Open (NO): normally open devices do not allow current to flow through it in its normal state, allowing it when activated.
Normally Closed (NC): normally closed devices allow current to flow through it in its normal state, stopping the flow when activated.
Relay: a device that allows the flow of electric current when activated and interrupts it after a pre-programmed time.
Flash drive: external storage device with USB port used to store data from the iDAccess data export, such as user data and access logs.
Door sensor: a device that indicates when a door is open or closed.
USB: Universal Serial Bus. It is a type of connector that allows flash drives to be connected to devices.
Wiegand: protocol that allows communication between two devices through the physical connection between the inputs and outputs.
